Datastripes supply-chain risk analysis running in the browser

This landed cost calculator runs in your browser. Datastripes rolls ex-works cost, freight, duty and surcharges into a total landed cost per product, computes gross margin, and then shows margin-at-risk — how much of that margin is exposed to commodity price moves and the disruption scenarios you have applied.

The components

What goes into landed cost

Landed cost is more than the invoice:

  • Ex-works or FOB component cost, rolled up from the bill of materials
  • Freight and insurance for the actual routing
  • Import duty, from World Bank WITS applied-tariff data
  • Surcharges, brokerage and handling

Datastripes computes each line and shows the total per product, in the currency you choose.

Framing

A planning tool, not a customs utility

"Landed cost calculator" sounds like a one-off lookup. Margin-at-risk makes it a planning tool: it connects a tariff change or a commodity spike to the number a CFO cares about, per product, before the quarter closes.

Data and privacy

What does margin-at-risk mean?
The portion of a product's gross margin that could be lost if commodity prices move or an active disruption or tariff scenario plays out. It reframes cost analysis as risk planning.
Which exchange rates are used?
ECB euro reference rates, for multi-currency reporting.
Is my BOM uploaded anywhere?
No. It is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
